When evaluating a neighborhood, consider proximity to your work, shopping, healthcare and recreation. Visit the area at different times of day and on weekends to get a feel for traffic, noise and activity. Check the city police department crime map for public safety data. If schools matter to you, review ratings and information from the school district and Arizona Department of Education. Look at the age and condition of homes, whether there is an HOA, and any special assessments or CFDs. Drive around to see if the area feels right for your lifestyle. Public records and your own observations will give you the best sense of whether a neighborhood fits your needs.
